Better to have many little joys

The first thing to keep in mind in business is to please people. Then the path to follow will open up naturally.
Human beings all live to become happy. But unless we make others happy, we can never become happy ourselves.
Then how can we give happiness to others?
When we greet people cheerfully, they will brighten. When we smile at people warmly, they will smile back warmly. If we make people happy, the whole atmosphere around us will be charged with happiness.
If we depress people by our responses, we will keep seeing sad faces. If we annoy people, we will be reproached day after day.
If we try to to make people happy, eventually we will succeed in our efforts and start receiving regular expressions of gratitude.
The stronger our desire to please other people, the greater the joy we will feel when we have pleased them.
Even if we have to face difficulties, we can remain positive as long as we are willing to help each other. Even if we are poor, our family can remain united in harmony as long as we are willing to share our happiness.
Making people happy means putting ourselves into the positions of others and to feel their joy as our own joy. It also means serving people with the genuine hope of helping them even if we have to make sacrifices.
Happiness cannot be recognized by its outward appearance. We do not need to feel a sense of achievement for every thing we do in daily life. What's important is to serve others with care in the course of our usual duties. It is reward enough if we are appreciated by the people we serve.
What counts is that we keep making the effort to please people through performing many small deeds, as opposed to one big deed.

Life is short. Our happiness each day depends on how much happiness we have given to others on that day.
