Fake or Genuine?

Some people undertake volunteer work out of a feeling of gratitude, in order to repay their debts to society. Other people do volunteer work for personal satisfaction or fulfillment.
What motivates us to work every day from early morning?
Some people work for the good of their companies, some think they work only to earn a living.
The former care about other people. The latter are self-centered. There is a very big difference between the two. Even though outwardly they do the same thing, their intentions are completely opposite and these differences are surely reflected in their actions.
When someone truly does something for the good of others, they are prepared to lose something or to sacrifice themselves in some way. On the other hand, when self-centered people meet with unexpected difficulty and face the prospect of losing or sacrificing even a little, they tend to get upset.
Some people only pretend to work for the good of others while really thinking only about themselves. Such people can deceive others for a while but their real motivations will always be exposed and other people will understand their real motivations over time.
Customers can usually tell better than any one else how genuine a sales or service person is about helping them.
Company presidents can tell better than any one else how seriously their employees consider the good of their company.
Even if you work hard but think only about your own gain, your customers will eventually leave you. If you want to achieve profits, you should focus primarily on satisfying your customers and sacrificing immediate gains. You can never harvest fruit unless you sow and properly nurture the right seeds.
As long as you are serious and sincere, you will naturally reap more and better fruit, even without consciously trying to.


People tend to seek gain by pretending sincerity. Sooner or later, however, people will see clearly the darkness of self-seeking behind the mask.
