| A product is described as being "fake", if it is of poor
quality despite having a good appearance. A product is called "real," if its content is even better than the good appearance. When we buy goods, we choose something that has a good appearance. However, we never fail to check whether the content is also good. If a product is genuine, it lasts a long time and has an attraction that last equally long. This concept of real and fake products can apply to human beings, too. Appearance is important in a person; however, the "content" of that person is even more important. Some people disappoint us because we learn that they are not so good as they at first sight appeared to be. Others attract us more and more the better we get to know them, being continuously as good as they at first appeared to be. The difference lies in whether people place more importance on their appearance or their "content." Those who place more importance on "content" think it important to be strict with themselves and persevere in whatever they undertake. Without changing their attitudes, such people continue to work steadily and sincerely. Those who take "content" lightly demean themselves and do not stick to anything for long. Since such people see only the surface of everything and easily get tired of whatever they do. Fortune will smile on people who are able to steadily dedicate themselves to one task, and others will eventually come to trust them. A truly authentic thing is such that its inner brilliance appears even on the outside. |
