| It is a general rule that with any goods such as cars, furniture or
clothing, the higher their quality, the more agreeable their appearance
and the more refined their atmosphere. This rule also applies to people. People who have polished their personalities through the trials of life have an agreeable appearance and atmosphere. When people pass through difficulties, their personalities either become more polished or more twisted. People who overcome the trials they face become polished, while people who are defeated by their trials become twisted and develop a negative atmosphere around them. When you enjoy your work, whatever kind of job it may be, you will become lively and radiant. The state of being able to enjoy facing trials and challenges may be described as that of overcoming your difficulties. When you enjoy what you are doing, a smile appears naturally on your face.This is especially true of young women. A smile enhances beauty more effectively than any make-up. A smile that issues from the heart is a real smile and may therefore be the best smile. Also, when you care about others, your kindness in caring for others' feelings will automatically bring a smile to your own face. When you feel happy, and when you are trying to make others happy, a good smile appears on your face. People who have continued to make the effort of trying always to smile during severe difficulties have polished their personalities and become truly agreeable people. Agreeable people are not born but created, I believe. A lot of dramas they have experienced in life have produced their agreeable personalities. |
