Thank you

When someone does a kind deed for us we say "thank you," and are happy.
However, if a situation arises where others continue to do kind deeds for us for a long time, we will eventually start to think it normal.
Then, after a while, an occasion will even arise when, if others do not do kind deeds for us, we feel disappointed and think badly of them, saying, "Oh, he is a cold person."
Isn't it part of human nature to believe that anything we find convenient to ourselves is normal?
So, it's often the case that we appreciate the value of health only after we get sick, appreciate our parents' goodness only after they pass away, or appreciate the value of money and friendship only after we become poor.
All these are the product of the weaknesses of human beings. They are also brought about by our spoiled character, negligence and sly nature.
Suppose that human beings have such weaknesses, isn't it possible that as we become happier in life our minds tend to become more corrupt?
It has long been said that human beings need to experience hardship while they are young.
People who have experienced a wide range of difficulties in life never lose their sense of gratitude, however much happiness they may eventually have.
I would say that the happiest moments in life are those when we are full of the sense of gratitude and always asking to ourselves, "Is it OK for us to be so happy?"
